Do the plugins cost anything?

No, and they never will. The WordPress plugin and the OpenCart extension are free downloads from the official directories. You pay for your Ovebot plan — the integration itself is part of the product, on every tier including the entry plan.

Do I need an Ovebot account before I install?

Yes. The plugin is the delivery mechanism; the intelligence lives in your Ovebot workspace. Create the agent first — the free demo builds one from your website address in about 90 seconds — then install the plugin and paste the key it gives you.

Will it slow my website down?

No. The widget script is loaded asynchronously after your page content and served from a global CDN, so it never blocks rendering. Your page paints first and the chat bubble appears a fraction of a second later. Your Core Web Vitals stay where they are.

Will it work with my theme?

Yes. The plugins use the standard hooks every platform gives its extensions, so they don’t care whether you run a block theme, a classic theme, Elementor, Divi, a default OpenCart template or a fully bespoke build. If your theme can render a footer, it can render Ovebot.

When is the Shopify app ready?

It is in active development and has to clear the official Shopify App Store review, so we won’t promise a date we can’t hold. In the meantime Shopify merchants can run the complete assistant today with the universal snippet, and everyone on the waiting list gets the app the day it goes live.

Can I remove it again?

Instantly. Flip the switch in the plugin settings to hide the widget, or deactivate the plugin entirely. The widget disappears from your storefront with no leftovers and no orphaned code buried in your theme.

Is it GDPR compliant?

Yes. Conversations are stored in European data centres, personal identifiers are filtered out before anything reaches the language model, and visitors can download or delete their own chat at any time. The plugin adds no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers.
